A magazine, a digest and a storybook. Every month.
Published in Urdu and English for families who want reading worth the time. Browse it all for nothing; Echo Pro opens the reading, the audio and the downloads.
Built for people who finish things.
Nothing here is a feature list waiting to be built. Every one of these ships today, and the ones that do not ship are not on this page.

What readers say.
EchoReads is new enough that we do not have quotes to show you yet. The three below are placeholders, marked as such, and they will be replaced with real words from real readers who agree to be named.
“The Urdu actually looks like Urdu. That sounds small until you have tried reading it anywhere else on a phone.”
“We read the same issue, my daughter in English and me in Urdu, and then we argue about it at dinner.”
“I download the month before a long flight and do not think about it again until we land.”
On the phone that is already in the room.
iPhone and iPad on iOS 15.1 or later, Android phones and tablets on Android 8 or later. Download the month before a long flight and forget about the signal.
Questions people actually ask.
What is EchoReads?
EchoReads is a reading app for Urdu and English magazines, digests, books and children’s storybooks. New issues arrive every month. You read on an iPhone, iPad or Android device, online or offline.
Can I try it before I pay?
You can browse the entire library, open any issue and see its contents, its cover and its writers, without an account and without paying. Reading the pages themselves is what a subscription buys.
How much does it cost?
Echo Pro is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. Prices are set per country by the App Store and Google Play, so the amount you see in the app is the amount you pay.
Is the Urdu properly typeset?
Yes. Urdu is set in Nastaliq on its own size and leading ladder, because Nastaliq descends steeply across a word and needs close to twice the vertical space a Latin line does. Direction is handled per line, so a mixed page does not fall apart.
Start with this month’s issue.
The library is open to look through right now, with no account. When you want to read it, Echo Pro is one tap inside the app.
